CHARISMA IS TEMPORARY BUT CHRIST’S CHARACTER IN ME IS ETERNAL
Thank you Father God for your Holy Spirit who lives in me; he develops your character in me. You have placed in me the incorruptible Seed, the anointed Christ himself. Heavenly Father, I renounce my own personal image, in order for you to develop and make visible the image of Christ in me. (Gal 5:22, 23). I accept the fact that I can only produce the fruit of the flesh, so I choose to cultivate the Seed and allow you to produce the Spirit’s fruit in my life. I decide to let Christ live His life in me. (Gal 2:20)
MY THOUGHT LIFE REVEALS MY TRUE CHARACTER
Father God, Your Word teaches me that what I think, I am. (Prov 23: 7) Today I decide to think about what is true, noble, just and pure; I choose to think about lovely, good and commendable things and to meditate on things worthy of praise. (Phil 4:8) I take captive every thought to the obedience of Christ (2 Cor 10:5) and declare that I have the mind of Christ. (1 Cor 2:16)
WHAT I MOST VALUE REVEALS MY CHARACTER
Lord I acknowledge that my heart is held captive by what I most value. (Matthew 6:21) I choose to give you the first place, the preeminence in all the areas of my life. Fill me Lord with the Water of Life so that I will never be thirsty for the transient things of this world. (John 4:13, 14)
MY MOTIVES REVEAL MY TRUE CHARACTER
You my Heavenly Father search the minds and hearts. (Rev 2:23) My motives are more important to you than my actions. I can deceive those around me but you know me. Teach me Lord to act motivated by your Spirit and alert me when my motives are incorrect.
MY FEELINGS REVEAL MY TRUE CHARACTER
Lord I declare that your love has been shed abroad in my heart by your Holy Spirit that you have given me. (Rom 5:5) I acknowledge that my love is limited, carnal and conditional. I receive your love that is without limits, that is heavenly and unconditional. Teach me to love others with your love.
MY ACTIONS REVEAL MY TRUE CHARACTER
Lord, I understand that my actions are the result of my thoughts, of what I value, of what motivates me and how I feel. I renounce lending my body to the devil in order to act in the flesh and decide to do everything to bring glory to God. (1 Cor 10:31). Thank you Lord that the good work you have begun in me, you promise to complete. (Phil 1:6) Thank you for developing your character in me. Charisma is temporary but your character in me is eternal.
